Larry and Helen Hoag were married for nearly 50 years. During their marriage, Larry achieved both financial success in real estate and great respect in his community for his service and generosity.

Larry Hoag spent his professional career in real estate. In 1951, Larry established The Hoag Company, specializing in residential, multi-family, commercial and industrial properties, as well as property management. While growing his own business, he devoted much of his life to his industry and professional peers. He was granted lifetime membership on the National Association of Realtors Board of Directors, a position only bestowed upon recipients of the Distinguished Service Award and Past President of the N.A.R. Larry received the Distinguished Service Award in 1982, the first realtor from California to be so honored.

In addition to his professional life, Larry was very engaged in civic affairs, serving as President of the Downey Chamber of Commerce and the Downey Hospital Authority. He also served as a Director of the Downey Rotary Club.

Helen spent much of her professional life working alongside Larry, and devoted her personal time to helping disadvantaged and seriously ill children The Foundation was formed by Helen to honor Larry and to continue to protect and empower our children.
